About the Program

The Nevada Alliance for Youth Apprenticeship (NAYA) project is a statewide effort to support and expand the development of a robust Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) in Nevada, as well as broadening the scope to include aligned pre-apprenticeships that engage youth in the RAP pipeline, beginning in high school or at age 16. By using a collaborative model that builds on existing successes, our goal is to develop and expand comprehensive, sustainable pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs that can be easily scaled across the state. These will be driven by the high demand job markets across Nevada; led by industry to ensure alignment with training needs; and developed utilizing community colleges and high school career and technical education (CTE) programs, when possible. Industry focus will be on healthcare, construction, information technology, advanced manufacturing and mining.
